A Spot of Bother – Mark Haddon
This book is mostly just weird – I wouldn’t actually recommend it – but Haddon is good at painting pictures of characters. Especially those in their own world.
And these characters were way, way out there. They did the oddest things, but as you followed their thought process so well you could see where they’re coming from. This kind of opens new horizons and helps you understand how different people are, people who look ”normal”. One tends to think, egoistically of course, that everyone thinks like you do.
Really, we have no clue. At all.
